Research progress on Bacillus subtilis regulating broiler gut health

Abstract: Bacillus subtilis (B. subtilis), as a functional probiotic, can survive and colonize in large quantities under the special environmental conditions of the animal gut. B. subtilis cells can secrete nutritional factors, promoting the digestion and absorption of nutrients in the intestine, improving production performance, and playing an important role in intestinal health. This article mainly summarizes the research progress of B. subtilis in regulating broiler intestinal health in recent years, discussing its biological characteristics and physiological functions, analyzing existing problems and future development directions, aiming to provide a reference for improving broiler intestinal health.
