Liaoning, a major province of live pigs, will resume production next year and fully supply the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region

Liaoning Province, located in the northeastern region of my country, has always been a major province for pig breeding and export in my country. The province has 25 major counties for live pig export, and about one-third of the live pigs are transferred to Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and other regions. It is the main supplier of live pigs in these areas. Recently, the Liaoning Provincial Government issued the "Implementation Opinions on Stabilizing Pig Production to Promote Transformation and Upgrading", announcing that the loan interest discount policy period for large-scale pig farms, farmers and pig breeding farms will be extended to the end of 2020. In order to realize the recovery growth of live pigs, the production of live pigs must return to normal levels next year. The "Implementation Opinions on Stabilizing Pig Production to Promote Transformation and Upgrading" announced that before June 30 next year, vehicles that legally transport breeding pigs and frozen pork will be exempted from vehicle tolls. The deadline for loan discount policies for pig breeding farms, large-scale pig farms, and pig farmers has been extended to December 31, 2020. Increase support for the construction, reconstruction and expansion of breeding pig farms, large-scale pig farms, pig farmers, and large-scale pig farms in prohibited areas before the end of next year, and the reconstruction of pig farmers in different places. The province will also vigorously support pig farms and farmers in purchasing agricultural machinery and equipment such as automatic feeding, environmental control, disease prevention and control, and waste disposal. The land used for pig breeding is used as agricultural land for facilities, and there is no need to go through the approval procedures for construction land. General cultivated land is allowed to be used for pig breeding, and the balance of cultivated land occupation and compensation is not required for breeding purposes. Increase the scale of land for ancillary facilities, and cancel the 15-mu upper limit. Encourage the use of barren mountains, barren ditches, barren hills, barren beaches and rural collective construction land to arrange pig breeding and production. As the main supplier of live pigs in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and other regions, Liaoning Province expects that by 2022, the scale rate of live pig breeding will reach about 58%. The comprehensive utilization rate of manure from farms and pig farmers has reached over 78%. In 2025, the scale rate of breeding will reach more than 65%, among which the capacity of extra-large pig breeding enterprises to slaughter more than 15 million pigs, and the comprehensive utilization rate of manure from large-scale pig farms (households) will reach more than 85%.
